July 2020 Monthly Membeership Pack
July 2020 – Canada Day is a day to Celebrate!!
Bump Set, O.T. Brewing. Calgary, Alberta. Double New England IPA, 9.0%
Starting off this one strong and, by strong, we mean 9.0% strong; welcome, Bump Set. This super tropical juice bomb was brewed with the Galaxy hop as the bittering hop and then double dry-hopped with more Galaxy, Simcoe, and Citra hops. Setting up for a great tasting experience, this beer showcases why going bigger is better!! Be sure to pair this one with smoked brisket or enjoy as a desert with some Caramel Cheesecake.
Dominion Daze, Cabin Brewing. Calgary, AB. Hopped Wheat Ale, 5.0%
Is there anything better than an easy drinking patio crusher to enjoy during Canada Day? We think not! Dominion Daze is hazy, full of flavour, and simply rocking with tropical fruit and citrus notes from a ridiculous bombardment of Vic Secret, Galaxy (super popular this year), and Azacca hops. Bam! Plus, this beer has two stickers to yank off. Slap them on your face, your kid, your dog, and get right into the Canada Day festivities. Pair this one with a healthy dose of Patio, Friends, and the Tragically Hip.
Summer Session, Blindman Brewing. Lacombe, AB. Session NEIPA, 3.0%
Here is our tribute to the Sun gods!! With this offering, we are forecasting endless days of summer to pair with this endlessly drinkable beer, or at least it will feel this way with a true to Canadian 20oz pint-sized can. Thank goodness that this one rolls in at a manageable 3.0% without any flavour sacrifice. Enjoy this one with a fruit salad or some street tacos!
Marionberry Sour, Rogue Ales. Portland, OR. Fruited Kettle Sour, 6.5%
Rogue Ales is a true farm-to-glass brewery located in Oregon, and one of the O.G.’s of the craft beer space. Because of their commitment to quality, we are so pleased to present you with this gem of a sour beer. This is one of my favorite sour beers right now. It is bursting with berry fruitiness, just slightly tart, and has a subtle caramel finish. This beer is juicy, it’s jammy, and just super solid. Enjoy this one with a fresh-out-of-the-oven salted pretzel… seriously…try it!

Your Belgian Things, Annex Ales/The Establishment Collab. Calgary, AB. Belgian Table Beer, 5.1%
Annex had their friends from The Establishment over to make this Belgian Table beer to celebrate Neighbour Day. They grew a homebrew batch of Belgian strong ale yeast to make enough for a 3,000L batch. This is a style-bending Belgian table beer (if you could style-bend Belgian beers), coming in at 5.1%. It’s light, dry, and very crushable. This beer was dry-hopped with Nelson Sauvin and Galaxy hops; see, I told you this hop is popular! Creating a fruity, clove, white wine grape tasting experience to be enjoyed with neighbours and friends during your Canada Day celebrations.
Insane in the Lane Brain, Troubled Monk. Red Deer, AB. Russian Imperial Stout 9.9%
Last but certainly not least. Insane in the Lane Brain is an imperial stout just waiting for the sun to dip below the horizon, the spark of the fire, and the cool Calgary evening to roll in. This beer has been aged in bourbon barrels for five months before canning to provide a sweet whiskey and vanilla flavour to an already dark chocolate, liquorice, and boozy base. Let it warm you up while the holiday draws down.
